Duration: Between 1 and 10 hours – it’s up to you!

London’s Science Museum has just about everything to do with science in its 7 floors. There is the History of Power (with real steam engines), Space, Telecommunications, Agriculture, Weather, Time Measurement, Mathematics, Computing, Marine Engineering, Geophysics, Oceanography, Flight (with real planes of course), Medicine, Medical and Veterinary History, and much much more.

Of special interest to ICPS delegates will be a new exhibition entitled Big Bang! Celebrating The World’s Largest Physics Experiment which explains how the Large Hadron Collider at CERN works, and what it hopes to achieve, incorporating an interactive game based on detecting the Higgs boson, video clips of the LHC’s construction and even some real parts from the LHC itself.
